Da tutti gli autori nobiliari sicoli concordi e specialmente dall'Inveges rileviamo che non potendo tener conto di sua provenienza da Francia e quindi di molte sue diramazioni in Italia, bisogna rispetto limitarsi a quella di Costantinopoli, da dove in Messina secondo il Lascaris pervenne. Epperò da Gregorio giudice emanarono 7 generazioni, ove oltre a' precedenti si trova un Tommaso miles investito dei censi demaniali in feudum per ragion di dote della moglie 1416, un dottor Giovanni giudice 1484, un Pietro anche giudice 1504, maestro notaro della corte straticotiale 1507, protonotaro del regno e vicario generale di Sicilia 1512, uomo ricchissimo,
