François-Jean-Jacques Grimod de Bénéon, baron de Riverie, fils de Jean-Étienne, baron de Cornillon, maréchal de camp, vendit sa seignurie de St-Just-en- Velay qui lui venait par héritage de Jean-Jacques Jacquier, son oncle, à Michel de Charpin, baron de Feugerolles, lequel en rendit hommage en 1775.
