In the 15th century it already owned the noble fiefdoms of Ragiano and Cinzano; in the XVII it bought part of Cunico and Montiglio, Camagna and Signano. The feud of Rosignano with marquis title was erected in primogeniture in 1750. Ottavio-Maria was ambassador to Paris and died in 1749; Ignazio his brother was bishop of Moriano and chancellor of the Order of SS. Annunziata; Pio, count of Cuneo, was a reformer in the University of Turin in 1780. The Grisella were also counts of Montemagno. The presence of the motto in the documented bibliography of the family confirms the ancestral nobility of the family. In fact, the origin of the motto dates back to around the 14th century and must be sought in those witty sayings that were written on the banners or flags of the knights, displayed on the windows of the inns where they stayed, during the tournaments,
