Questa famiglia ci è forza crederla nobile, e antica della città d'Arezzo, stante due fortissime ragioni; l'una è, che sempre la vediamo Cittadina Aretina fino nel 1280. l'altra è, che portando il titolo di Dominus Bolognino suo progenitore, a cui non vedendo aggiunto la parole di Iudex, come si vede al suo figliuolo Angelo, è necessario stimarlo Cavaliere; la qual cosa ci dimostra riconoscere questa Casa nobilità più lontana, di quella, che si descrive; se pure non vogliamo asserire, che questo Bolognino sia uno de' descendenti di Urbello di Guazzo, che teneva in feudo dalla Badìa d'Arezzo il Castello di Bricciano nel 1014. verso la qual parte questa famiglia ha sempre posseduto beni, come si cava dall'Archivio di detta Badìa.
