Per un antico libro intitulato de rebus gallorum gestis d'Edemundo, Madardo, Francese, impresso in Leone di Francia nel 1518. si scorge chiaramente la famiglia Rubbini haver principiato nobilmente nella Francia d'un Cavaliero chiamato Aliprando, nato nella Città di Leone nel 1114. Questi impiegandosi con prudenza nella Militia sotto il Rè Lodovico Grosso, e dell'altro Rè Lodovico figlio del Grosso detto, il minore fece felici progressi. Nicolò R.
