Les armes de cette maison sont décrites dans le Grand Armorial de France (registre de Périgueux), sous le nom de Gueydon, sieur de Dives. Dans un des livres de l'Hôtel-de-Ville de Périgueux, on les trouve: d'azur au lion d'or, tenant dans ses pattes de devant un guidon d'argent à la hampe d'or. Ce sont ces dernières (armes parlantes) qui se voient dans l'Armorial de Jeoffroy d'Eschavagnes, sous le nom de Gueydon, en Italie, en Provence et en Périgord. En sa qualité de noble, Mme Guedon de Villac, née de Mèredieu, vota, par procuration donnée à messire Jean-François du Pin, écuyer, seigneur du Bàtiment, pour les députés aux États-Généraux de 1789. Dame Léonarde Guédon de Dives était supérieure des filles de l'hôpital de Saint-Martin, le 27 juin 1735, ainsi que le constate une lettre que Louis de Froidefond, curé de Bergerac, lui écrit à cette date. Cette lettre porte: A la très honorée mère Dives, superiéure de ladit communauté.
