Famiglia oriunda da Ravenna, ove in antico viveva in condizione assai civile, come si desume da alcuni attestati di cittadinanza. Parecchi dei suoi membri ebbero il grado di Capitano, che in Ravenna era considerato onorevole e decoroso quanto quello di Cavaliere. Sua Santità Pio XI, con breve 22 dicembre 1922, concedeva il titolo di Conte a Guglielmo di Giuseppe con trasmissione dopo di lui a Giuseppe, figlio del di lui fratello Edoardo. S.M. il Re con decreto 21 marzo 1927 e RR. LL. PP. 12 agosto 1927 concedeva al predetto l'autorizzazione ad usare il titolo nel Regno. Motto della famiglia: Sola fides. Altro ramo. Nobile famiglia pesarese del 1840 a cui la Consulta Araldica (vedi Elenco Nobiliare Ufficiale 1908) dichiarò spettare, come discendenza da Guerrino (1840) il titolo di Nobile di Pesaro (maschi e femmine).
