Ancienne et très noble famille piémontaise, connue sous le nom de Guglielmoni, Guglielmone ou Telmoni, de vertu claire et ancestrale, qui s'est répandue au cours des siècles dans diverses régions d'Italie. Les variantes du nom de famille ne sont pas surprenantes. La forme originale du nom de famille n'a pas toujours été conservée intacte au cours des siècles avec son orthographe primitive. Souvent dus à des transcriptions erronées, à des transformations dialectales selon les régions où le lignage s'est peu à peu déplacé, à l'écriture incompréhensible des scribes, etc., il y a eu des changements de phonétique et d'écriture. En tout cas, cette famille noble a eu son berceau à Traffiume, où elle était parmi les patriciens, et de là elle s'est ensuite ramifiée principalement à Vercelli (Piémont) et Ameglia (Ligurie), une branche était également noble dans le Royaume de Naples et , plus précisément, dans la ville de Foggia.
