Se cree que la familia se originó en Lombardía, que se ramificó en Andria alrededor de 1400. Se ilustra con oficinas y altos grados de poder judicial. En 1705 fue reincorporado a la nobleza de la ciudad de Vicenza, y con el tiempo obtuvo la declaración de nobleza fuera de la Piazza en Nápoles.
