Ramo dell'illustre ceppo della casta monima di Milano stabilitosi anticamente a Parma, ove era fiorente nel 400. Si ha memoria di un Giovanni Antonio morto nel 1509 tesoriere in Parma di Galeazzo Maria Sforza signore della città, figlio di Bartolomeo, il quale in un rog. del 1496 é detto "civis Mediolani et Parmensis". Dei figli di Giovanni Antonio Giovanni Pietro, fu iscritto nella Matricola dei notai Parmensi il 18 ottobre 1521, Giovanni Maria il 28 giugno 1526, Giovan Francesco fu chiaro giureconsulto e fu sepolto nella cappella di famiglia, eretta nel primo '400 nella chiesa di S. Sepolcro dei canonici lateranensi della città natale, con questa iscrizione: "Francisco Cusani iuriconsulto ac patritio Parm viro ingenii praestantia, consilii gravitate praeclaro, Diana uxor, Marcus Ant. filius omissum in eo familiae suae splendorem praesidium lugentes posuerunt.
