Fiorirono in Sicilia nel reggimento del Rè Alfonzo nella città di Palermo Paolo, e Nicolò Arrighetti cavalieri Milanesi, la famiglia de' quali, e così chiara d'antica nobiltà in Milano, quanto ogn'altra antica, e nobili di quella famosa Città, e portarono seco Luca Bienate, hoggi detto Benenati cognato di Paolo, e tutti costoro s'impiegarono a' serviggi reali con molti carichi in Sicilia, percioche Paolo fù Percettore Regio del Valle di Mazzara, e Nicolò del Valle Demona nel 1526, i quali uffici l'hebbero confirmati Gio: Martino figlio di Paolo, e Gio: Fortugno figlio di Nicolò nel 1447. Luca Benenati hebbe la Castellania di Minèo dalla Regina Maria, e dopò quella di Leontini, come per patenti spedite per l'ufficio della Camera Reginale nel 1431, e 1438. Mà della famiglia Arrighetti, e de' prenarrati, non nè hò trovato successione veruna fin'hora: nondimeno a' nostri tempi venne in Sicilia Fortugno Arrighetti, il quale si casò
