Carlo-Alberto Roi de Sardaigne, avec brevets le 16 mars 1833 accordé à Gioacchino - Carlo - Vincenzo Isasca le titre de baron transmissible par primogéniture masculine. Vittorio-Emanuele, roi d'Italie, par décret du 1er novembre 1876, autorisa ledit Gioacchino-Carlo et son fils Cesare à ajouter à leur nom de famille actuel celui d'Alfieri. La présence de la devise dans la bibliographie documentée de la famille confirme la noblesse ancestrale de la famille. En fait, l'origine de la devise remonte au XIVe siècle environ et doit être recherchée dans ces dictons pleins d'esprit qui étaient écrits sur les bannières ou les drapeaux des chevaliers, affichés aux fenêtres des auberges où ils séjournaient, à l'occasion de les tournois, et pendant les tournois eux-mêmes . La devise était une pensée exprimée en quelques mots faisant allusion à un sentiment manifeste ou caché, une qualité, un souvenir historique, comme stimulant au courage ou à l'honneur.

Inquartato; nel primo e quarto d'oro, alla pianta d'alloro di verde, fruttata di rosso, nudrita sulla vetta di mezzo, più alta fra le tre di un monte di nero; nel secondo e terzo d'azzurro, alla banda fasciata di dieci pezzi d'argento e d'azzurro, caricata di uno scudetto d'argento, alla croce di rosso, nel verso della pezza, ed accompagnata da due torri d'argento, merlate alla guelfa di cinque pezzi, aperte e finestrate del campo. Cimiero: Una ghirlanda o corona d'alloro di verde, legata di rosso. Motto: Numquam interitura.
