Troviamo un Enrico, giurato di Siracusa nel 1405-6 e un Girolamo che tenne la stessa carica in detta città nel 1410-11; ma non possiamo affermare che essi siano stati i progenitori dei Jacona o La Jacona, baroni di Boscopiano, Mazzarronello, ecc. Un Giuseppe La Jacona fu primo barone di Patro e a 20 luglio 1751 ottenne la commutazione del titolo di barone di Patro in quello di barone di Fegotto; sotto questa denominazione ne ottenne investitura a 28 agosto 1751 e forse fu egli stesso quel barone Giuseppe proconservatore in Niscemi nel 1758; un Antonio acquistò da casa Requesens il titolo di barone di Mazzarronello del quale venne investito a 15 giugno 1767; un Antonio La Jacona (lo stesso del precedente?) gennaio 1779 ebbe investitura di Lo Monaco, Luppinaro, S. Giorgio, Lo Cucco, Randè o Cardonetto; un Giuseppe La Jacona e Marini fu proconservatore in Niscemi dal 1776 al 1793
