L'autore del repertorio delle famiglie romane tante volte da noi citato apparteneva a famiglia discesa a quanto pare, dai Crescenzi. Possedeva varie case in città ma la più importante era quella situata nel rione della Colanna, nel luogo ove ora è la Cassa di Risparmio. Altra casa ereditarono dai Pichi per il matrimonio di Sara Pichi con Cristoforo Jacovacci. Domenico, fu conservatore nel 1571; Marco Antonio nel 1579; Tarquinio nel 1589; Prospero nel 1593 e Domenico, l'autore del Repertorio, cavaliere dell'insigne ordine di Santo Stefano, fu conservatore negli anni 1651 e 1657. Vanta questa casa due cardinali di S. R. C. Domenico e Cristoforo il primo fu promosso alla Sacra Porpora il 2 luglio 1517, fu vescovo di Lucera e di Grosseto e morì il 2 luglio 1527, dopo dieci anni precisi da sua creazione. Cristoforo, nipote del precedente canonico di San Pietro succedette allo zio nel vescovato di Massano
