Janson, (Taf. 232.) Der Preuss. Major 3. Cuir.-Regim. August Philipp Alexander J. in den Preuss. Adelstand erhoben 7. Nov. 1838. Grundbesitz in Ostpreussen. Janson (Tafel 101) von der Stockh, ursprünglich Johnson, altenglischer Adel, später, durch Religionsverfolgungen gez'vungen, nach Flandern, Irland und Frankreich ausgewandert. Aus Nie- derlanden kain ein Johann Martin J. V. der St. nach Kurbayern. Dessen Linie ist erst in diesem Jahrhundert im Mannsstamm erloschen. In Irland jedoch blühen noch die Johnson-Johnwell, und in Frankreich die Janson-Forbin. (Siehe V. Leoprechting, Stammbuch von Possenhofen etc. p. 125 ff.) Janson. (Taf. 90). Zu Taf. 232 S. 184 des Haupttheils, wo das Wappen auf Grund unrichtiger Mittheilung in V. Ledeburs Adels-lexikon I p. 392 falsch dargestellt ist. Nach dem Diplom vom 7. Novbr. 1838 ist es das folgende. Janson von der Stockh. Johann Martin Janson von der Stockh, aus altniederländischem Geschlechte, geb. 1648. wanderte 1670 in Deutschland (Oberpfalz) ein, wurde Chorstiftsverwalter in Heideck und Hofkammerrat. Seine Nachkommenschaft blühte in zwei Linien, von denen die eine zur Matrikel- zeit im Mannesstamme schon erloschen war. Anton J. V. d St., königl. Bayer. Kriegsreferendar, Oberst im Generalstab, wurde 1813 immatrikuliert; er wurde im Befreiungskriege verwundet, + 21. Dez. 1813. Sein Sohn Karl Julius Ascan, geb. 17. Mai 1812, Zögling des Kadettenhauses in München, + 11. März 1832 als Letzter seines Stammes.
