Très illustre maison de la Bretagne, d'une haute antiquité, dont les premiers auteurs connus sont: Yvon, vivant en 1426 a eu décharge d'un tiers de feu et épouse Marie Calamaign, de la maison de Pontarbleiz, dont Bernard, marié vers 1448 à Bénone de Kermorvan. Gabriel, conseiller au présidial de Quimper, puis au parlement en 1570; Antoine, capitaine au régiment de Maulevrier, tué au siège de Namur en 1695; un lieutenant des canonniers gardes-côtes, fusillé à Quiberon en 1795; un capitaine d'Etat-major, tué à Solférino en 1859. La branche aînée fondue dans Kernezne. Dans un autre branche de cette maison, celle representée des seigneurs de Ranzegat, de Kercassier, de Trévennec et de Lessac, on signale: Jean, de la paroisse de Saint-Guenolé, anobli en 1428; Olivier, homme d'armes sous le maréchal de Gyé en 1480; Jacques, épouse Marie le Maignan, veuve en 1510.
