Alte und berühmte Familie, ursprünglich aus dem Trentino und mit Wohnsitz in der Stadt Trento, deren Wappen vom Commendatore GB von Crollalanza in den Bänden seines "Historical-Blazon Dictionary" berichtet wird. Der Ursprung dieser Erkenntnis, um es gelinde auszudrücken, sollte im mittelalterlichen Namen "Ioppo" gesucht werden, der wahrscheinlich einem inzwischen unbekannten Vorfahren gehörte. Zu einer solchen Familie, die sich 1577 mit diesem Job, dem Kanzler der Gemeinde Trient, illustrierte, gehörte das gleichnamige Portal oder eine niedrige Bogentür, die zur Piazzetta di Lavariano führt 1600. Darüber hinaus zeichnete sich diese Familie in jedem Alter immer durch die erhöhten Charaktere aus, die sie hervorbrachte. Unter diesen erinnern wir uns: Saverio, Arzt in beiden Gesetzen, lebte 1543 in Trient; Glücklicher, vertrauter und höfischer Berater von Kaiser Ferdinand I .; Giovanni, Doktor der Heiligen Theologie, lebte 1675 in Trient; Carlo Maria, Ratsmitglied des kaiserlichen Hofes von Turin, im Jahre 1773.
