Familia antigua e ilustre, originaria de Trentino y con residencia en la ciudad de Trento, cuyo blasón es informado, por el comandante de GB GB de Crollalanza, en los volúmenes de su "Diccionario Histórico-Blasón". El origen de este conocimiento, por decir lo menos de los genealogistas ilustres, debe buscarse en el nombre medieval "Ioppo", que probablemente pertenecía a un progenitor ahora desconocido. Perteneciente al patriciado de su propia tierra, a una familia así, que se ilustró con ese trabajo, canciller del municipio de Trento en 1577, pertenecía al portal del mismo nombre, o una puerta de arco bajo, que se abre a la Piazzetta di Lavariano, construida en 1600. Además, esta familia, en todas las épocas, siempre se distinguió por los personajes elevados, a los que dio a luz. Entre estos, recordamos: Saverio, doctor en ambas leyes, que vivía en Trento, en 1543; Consejero feliz, familiar y cortés, del emperador
