Très illustre maison de la Bretagne, d'une haute antiquité, dont les premiers auteurs connus sont: Eon, maitre-d'hôtel de Jeanne de Navarre, duchesse de Bretagne en 1400; Jean, alloué de Ploërmel, commissaire pour la réformation des fouages de l'évêché de Saint-Malo en 1427, marié à Sévestre de Séverac. Le seigneur de Kerguennet, paroisse de Plœren, débouté à la réformation de 1670. A une autre branche se rattachaeient: Guillemin, de la paroisse de Planguénoual, fils de Thomas et d'Olive, veuve en 1441, fut anobli en 1453 et épousa Jeanne Cochon, dont: Pierre marié à Olive le Métaër; Jean, allié à Marie Bertho, père de Mahé, époux d'Anne Glé, dame de la Cherquetière; Nicolas, sénéchal de Saint-Malo, anobli en 1575. Le seigneur de la Porte, débouté à la réformation de 1668.
