Antigua y muy noble familia Aitino, conocida como d'Aura, Auria, Orio o Jorio, dependiendo de cómo se haya transcrito en el transcurso del tiempo, que se trasplantó a las lagunas venecianas en el momento de Atila y que desde 1297, por el número de los mejores, se incluyó entre los patricios. Dio muchos senadores, electores de dux y otras personalidades ilustres a la patria, incluido Orio, embajador en 1136-37 ante el emperador Lotario y luego en 1172-73 ante Guillermo, rey de Sicilia; Filippo, podestà y capitán de Treviso en 1344; Lorenzo, embajador en Lodovico II Rey de Hungría en 1518; Domenico, consejero en Chania en 1591, en el momento de la famosa plaga, luego administrador y castellano en Grabusso en 1600 y en Cerico en 1607; Antonio, capitán de Sibenik de 1759 a 1761. Con resolución soberana el 1 de diciembre de 1817, la familia fue confirmada en su nobleza
