Linaje catalán con casas en Barcelona, en la antigua veguería de Puigcerdá (Gerona), en la ciudad de Solsona (Lérida) y en otros lugas del Principado. Paula de J. hija del señor de las Siges, casó con Miguel Agulló (hijo de Miguel Agulló y de doña María Cardona). Son sus armas: Escudo cortado: primero, de plata, y segundo, de azur. Algunos autores dicen que es de azur con el jefe de plata. El primer escudo que hemos descrito se veía en el portal de Oliana (obispado de Urgel), que poseyeron los J., y en la iglesia de Nuestra Señora de Castellbell (obispado de Solsona.). Gregorio García Ciprés describe las armas de J. de esta manera: "Escudo partido en sotuer, en campo de plata, con flores de azur en cabeza y punta". Garma y Durán dice que la casa de Barcelona ostentó: De plata, flanqueado de azur, o sea, cuartelado en sotuer: primero y cuarto, de plata, y segundo y tercero, de azur.
