Barone ricco, il quale nel serviggio Militare, che si fece nel reggimento del Rè Buon Guglielmo, per andare à Soccorrere Terra Santa, mandò con Vitale Laurino suo Socero due soldati Andrea L. suo figlio servì molt'anni all'Imperador Federico II, il cui figlio Rinaldo al Rè Manfredo; nondimeno vogliono, ch'ella derivasse da' Normanni. Da Rinaldo nè pervenne Alessandro, e Ricca, l'uno servì con carico di Dammicello e l'altra di Dammicelli alla Regina Leonora. Ricca sua fù casata dalla medesma Regina con Abbo III Barrese Barone di Pietra perzia, e di Militello, col cui favore seguì gli Stati, che gl'erano stati confiscati dal Rè Federico, per haver seguito la parte del Rè Giacomo, conforme nell'elogio della famiglia Barrese s'ha detto. Ruggiero L. valoroso cavaliero morì combattendo nella battaglia navale, fatta fra Corrado Doria Capitano del Rè
