Ancient and illustrious German family, of clear and ancestral virtue, known as Landzettel or Zettel, that has worldwide spread, over the centuries. According to what has been handed down, the family is originally from Ingolstadt, a city in the center of Bavaria, even if some family branches then settled in Baden-Württemberg. The first family member we know of is a Wolfgang, professor in Ingolstadt, flourishing in 1576. Even later, this House always stood out thanks to prominent figures which gave birth, in the public service, in the liberal professions and in the military service. From our archives: Engelhard, landowner in center Bavaria, flourishing in 1601; Chuonradus, cavalry captain, flourishing in 1626; Johann, jurist in Ingolstadt, flourishing in 1658; Friedrich, cavalry captain, flourishing in 1681; Balthasar, doctor of law, flourishing in Ingolstadt, in 1711; Sebastian, lover of fine Arts, flourishing in 1735; Petrus, landowner in Baden-Württemberg, flourishing in 1752; Ludwig, doctor
