A antiga e muito nobre família Oriunda de Pisa, chamada Lafranco ou Lanfranco, era muito clara e poderosa, parte de Ghibelline, favorecida por Can Grande I della Scala e perseguida por Castruccio Castracane, senhor de Pisa, para o qual fugiu para Verona em 1316. Alguns Lafranchi vieram a isso cidade de Piacenza, outras de Gênova no século XV, e destas, a primeira que em 1517 foi atribuída ao nobre Conselho de Verona foi Pietro-Leonardo, que propagou sua descida para lá, que foi homenageado pelos principais escritórios municipais. Arma: Azul, com uma faixa de prata, três estrelas colocadas no poste uma da outra. Alias: D'azzurro, para um pássaro prateado em concha e forrado a vermelho, colocado em um terraço verde.
