Famiglia antica e nobile, originaria di Siracusa, detta anche Dè Latini o Latini, passa in Napoli nel XVIII secolo e viene riconosciuta nobile dalla Regia Commissione dei titoli nel 1843, investita del feudo di Santa Maria a Toro nell'anno 1598. Altro ramo. Nobile famiglia marchigiana e forse di Mogliano. Giovanni Battista il 6 marzo 1792 "per i suoi grandi meriti militari" fu creato Conte palatino da Papa Pio VI con tutti i suoi discendenti maschi. Il 6 giugno 1792 fu aggregato con tutta la famiglia alla nobiltà di Camerino. La Consulta Araldica dichiarò spettare a questa famiglia i titoli di conte Palatino Pontificio (m) e Nobile di Camerino (mf).
