Diese alte Familie ist ein Zweig des berühmten Sanseverino-Hauses, das von Roberto Lauro Signor di Lauro stammt und nach dem seine Nachkommen benannt sind. Er hatte Adel in Tropea, Catanzaro, Amantea am Sitz von S. Basilio in Castellamare und in Seminara; und war die Dame von achtzehn Lehen. Giovanni Lauro war 1220 ein großer Protonotar des Königreichs; Antonio Bischof von Stabia und Hauptkaplan im Jahre 1534; Scipione vertraut und heimisch von Karl V., Pfälzer Graf und Adliger von SRI; Mario Bischof von Kampanien und Satriano; Vincenzo Cardinale von SRC im Jahre 1583; Antonio Bischof von Belcastro. Es gibt keine Neuigkeiten von dieser Familie. Anderer Zweig. Katalanische Familie, die 1327 das Lehen von Quarto und Baralla mit einem königlichen Rat William hatte. Er wurde 1331 wegen persönlicher Fehler des Lehens beraubt, das vom Finanzbeamten verwirkt wurde.
