L'imperatrice Maria Teresa con diploma dato da Vienna nel 1770 concedeva ai il titolo di barone del S.R.I. con trasmissibilità ai maschi e alle femmine. Per essere la famiglia Battiala finita nella suddetta, il Giacomo ottenne dall'Imperatore Francesco Giuseppe di unire al proprio il cognome Battiala di antica e nobile famiglia il Albona ed assai benemerita dello Stato Veneto dal quale ottenne il titolo di conte per decreto del Senato 10 maggio 1742. Il titolo di Conte fu altresì concesso dallo stesso Senato Veneto con Decreto 7 settembre 1771 al nobile Felice con laterale del ramo ora fiorente e che non ebbe discendenti. Il sotto descritto con D.R. 16 ott. 1924 e RR. LL.PP. I febbraio 1925, ebbe la rinnovazione del titolo Comitale con trasmissibilità ai mpr., e con D.M. 6 aprile 1925 ottenne riconoscimento del titolo di barone del S.R.I. (mf): Giuseppe, n.
