Ancienne et très noble famille toscane, de vertu claire et ancestrale, répartie au cours des siècles dans diverses régions d'Italie. Résident et noble de la ville de Florence, où il vécut à San Giovanni, sous la bannière Vaio, on pense qu'il est de la même agnation de la famille Lazzari de Pistoia, florissante déjà en 1204 avec celle Lazzaro, de Rustichello, consul dans sa patrie.
