Die antike und adelige toskanische Familie ist in der offiziellen Liste mit dem Titel Nobile di Massa (mf.) In der Person von Giuliano, Enrico, Giovanni, Giuliano eingetragen. Die Familie hat sich im Laufe der Jahrhunderte in verschiedenen Regionen Italiens mit einer auffälligen Siedlung in Como verbreitet. In einigen Nachbarregionen gibt es auch die kognitiven Formen Lecca oder Mecco, es sollte sich um Transkriptionsfehler handeln. Das Wappen der Familie Lecco ist wie folgt verziert: D'azzurro, der Turm, der auf einem Berg mit drei Gipfeln errichtet wurde und von zwei sechszackigen Sternen in Silber umgeben ist; mit dem goldenen Kopf, beladen mit dem schwarzen Doppeladler, gekrönt von demselben auf den beiden Köpfen.

D'azzurro, alla torre fondata su un monte di tre cime e accostata da due stelle a sei punte, il tutto d'argento; con il capo d'oro, caricato dell'aquila bicipite di nero, coronata dello stesso sulle due teste.

Blasone della famiglia Lecco dalla Toscana. Fonte: "Raccolta Ceramelli Papiani" custodita presso l'archivio di stato di Firenze fasc. 7887; secondo lo storico e araldista marchese Vittorio Spreti sono fregiati di titoli nobiliari anche in Como; si trovano anche le forme cognominali Mecco e Lecca; il monte di tre cime in molte illustrazioni è uscente dalla punta anche se il blasone non lo specifica.
