Ancient and noble Tuscan family is registered in the Official List with the title of Nobile di Massa (mf.) In the person of Giuliano, Enrico, Giovanni, Giuliano. The family has spread over the centuries in different regions of Italy with a conspicuous settlement in Como; in some neighboring regions there are also the cognominal forms Lecca or Mecco, it should be a matter of transcription errors. The coat of arms of the Lecco family is emblazoned as follows: D'azzurro, the tower founded on a mountain of three peaks and joined by two six-pointed stars, all in silver; with the golden head, loaded with the black double-headed eagle, crowned by the same on the two heads.

D'azzurro, alla torre fondata su un monte di tre cime e accostata da due stelle a sei punte, il tutto d'argento; con il capo d'oro, caricato dell'aquila bicipite di nero, coronata dello stesso sulle due teste.

Fonte: "Raccolta Ceramelli Papiani" custodita presso l'archivio di stato di Firenze fasc. 7887; secondo lo storico e araldista marchese Vittorio Spreti sono fregiati di titoli nobiliari anche in Como; si trovano anche le forme cognominali Mecco e Lecca; il monte di tre cime in molte illustrazioni è uscente dalla punta anche se il blasone non lo specifica.
