The origin of the family is known and this leads to assumptions that offer the possibility of promoting research from which to draw reliable information. Many Lords and French Knights passed through the centuries spent with various Kings to conquer the lands of the Kingdom of Naples; who, after the victory obtained by that King, coming from the same remunerated States, and of wealth, gave birth to a prosapia and settled with them houses in castles, or walled towers in Naples, and other parts of the Kingdom, in reward of their military services; among which this family. With RD 10 April 1854 was granted to Carlo Lefèvre, French native, the transmissible title of count of Balsorano, (feudal preached ad honorem).
