Alte und adelige Familie Maltas, in der er laut Abela seit 1404 Mitglied der von Frabimeo und Franchina de Licata besetzten Jurorenpositionen ist. Ein Vituzzo war 1458 ein königliches Geheimnis auf dieser Insel und besaß die Schirmherrschaft. Ein Filippo L. brachte sie nach Sizilien, die eine Adelsfamilie Laurella Lorefice heiratete, wie Mugnos berichtete. Aber aus einem alten Dokument des Hofes von r. Erbe in den Taten des Notars Lionti von Palermo lesen wir, dass Filippo der Vater von Garardo war, geboren 1520, verheiratet mit einer Margherita d'Aquino und einer der Gründer des Krankenhauses von Santacroce in Girgenti; Lochè ging auch aus einer Grabtafel von 1581 hervor. Er war nur der oben erwähnte Dokumeno-Vorfahr von Salvatore, der sich 1628 als erster in Favara niederließ, aus dem ein Antonino 1721 stammte, Biagios Vater, der verschiedene Positionen innehatte.
