Family originally from Spain, passed into the kingdom of Naples with a Martino mentioned in a 1514 diploma. In 1587 he had the possession of Casolla Valenzano, later passed to the Cimino family. Settled in the city of Barletta it was added in 1763 to that nobility. For kinship contracted with the noble fam. Pandolfelli patrician of Trani, added this surname to her own obtaining sovereign authorization on 24 novermbre 1898.
