Antica famiglia, originaria dell'Albania, trapiantatasi in Ripatransone, con un Alessio, verso la fine del secolo XV. Tal casato, inoltre, può annoverare tra le sue file uomini di eccelse virtù, tra i quali, senza nulla levar al valore degli omessi, ricordiamo: Pietro, vescovo di Treja nell'Epiro e quindi di Cattaro, così creato da Sisto IV; Francesco, valoroso soldato che si coprì di gloria a Lepanto, a lato di Marcantonio Colonna; Ionno che, nel 1521, pugnò da prode contro gli Spagnoli; Luigi chiaro giureconsulto; Domenico podestà di Cosignano; Lucia valente in pittura e architettura, morta a Roma sulla fine del secolo XVIII; Filippo vivente nel secolo XIX ottenne per sé e i discendenti il titolo di marchese; Liberato cavaliere di molti ordini equestri e colonnello delle truppe pontificie; Stefano, commissario apostolico della S. Casa di Loreto e poi delegato apostolico di Velletri. La Consulta Araldica riconobbe a questa famiglia fin dal 1908
