Sur la base de références d'historiens de l'époque et d'autres trouvées par Araldis dans les archives des registres des villes et autres privés, nous pourrions affirmer, mais pas assurer, que ce bouclier ou un autre très similaire à celui-ci, est initialement apparu du 11ème au 14ème siècle, en particulier dans la campagne contre l'Islam accompagnant les hôtes de D. Alfonso Seigneur de Molina et frère de Fernando III le Saint Roi de Castille, dans la bataille du Campos de Jerez en 1231 contre Aben Hud. Les références de cette famille semblent se préciser plus fréquemment du XVe au XIXe siècle, notamment les événements de la garde du duc de Feria qui était chargé, avec le duc de Savoie, de défendre les religieuses dans le pillage de les troupes espagnoles à San Quintin le 27 août 1557.
