Legitimer Zweig der Familie des alten Adels von Padua, bekannt seit 1200 und der bis zur zweiten Hälfte des 15. Jahrhunderts in den Besitz eines Teils der freien Gerichtsbarkeit von Sanguinetto nel Veronese gelangte, an die der Titel des Grafen geknüpft war. Ein Jahrhundert später wollte Girolamo Cavazza, Sekretär des Senats, ein sehr reicher Mann, die Öffnung des Goldenen Buches von Venedig in den sehr ernsten Eventualitäten des Candia-Krieges nutzen, aber da er keine direkten Nachkommen hatte, bat er um das Patriziat, sowie für sich selbst, für zwei Neffen, die mit zwei Frauen der Familie und ihren Nachkommen verheiratet waren, und erhielt es mit Dekreten vom 28. und 31. Januar 1653 des Senats und des Großen Rates. Das Patriziat sowie die Bestechung von Sanguinetto und der Grafschaft Asparedo nach den venezianischen Gesetzen erloschen für diese Linie wegen Unehelichkeit der Geburt.
