Simone, di Giovanni, era stato dei priori di Firenze nel 1381, come lo fu poi nel 1411 suo figlio Giovanni. Da un altro Giovanni, nipote del suddetto, nacque Lorenzo, che trasferitosi a Prato, vi ebbe la carica di gonfaloniere (1536), del pari che i suoi discendenti Giovanni (1558), Lorenzo (1592), Prospero (1630), Giovanni (1652), ed il figlio di questo, Giovanni (1715), che al sacro Fonte aveva avuto il nome di Vaio Maria. Il cav. Stefano nato da lui che fu gonfaloniere nel 1719, chiese per se, per i fratelli mons. Vaio Maria, decano della Sacra Rota, e canonico Simone, e per i suoi figli Antonio, canonico Simone e per i suoi figli Antonio, canonico Lorenzo cav. Giovanni e Giuseppe prelato domestico di S.S. e Ponente del Buon Governo l'ascrizione al Patriziato di Firenze, concessagli con decreto 4 ottobre 1762, e alla Nobiltà di Prato, ottenuta con decreto 4
