Antigua y noble familia originaria de Messina llamada Lo Miglio o Milgiore. El comendador GB de Crollalanza informa del blasón de esta familia en los volúmenes de su diccionario histórico de blasones de familias nobles y notables italianas. Según el historiador Diligenti que en su "Historia de las ilustres familias italianas, por el cuidado y expensas del editor", publicada en Florencia, encontramos que esta familia es de puro origen italiano, dispersa en varias ciudades. De la obra "Colección de las familias más ilustres y nobles que existieron y que aún florecen en Italia, tomada del Teatro Heráldico publicado en Lodi en 1841, se menciona que la familia originaria de Sicilia, a pesar del olvido en que cayó, Sostuvo las pruebas para obtener la nobleza en su ciudad.
