Antica ed illustre famiglia, originaria di Racconigi, detta Lobetti o Robetti, propagatasi, nel corso dei secoli, in diverse regioni d'Italia, la quale venne fregiata del titolo di Conti di Monastero di Vasca e San Biagio, concessogli da Carlo-Emanuele I, in persona di Claudio, cavaliere mauriziano, e di Maurizio, fratello del detto Claudio. La famiglia alzò per arma. D'oro al lupo di nero, armato d'argento, rampante. Tal casato, inoltre, sempre si distinse per gli illustri personaggi, a cui diede i natali, tra i quali, ricordiamo: Antonio, scomparso nel 1620, Medico di S.A. al luogo del Ginodi, con l'assenso di 1237 lire, il quale ebbe il dono di 225 giornate di terra e "gerbidi", dalla città di Cherasco, nel 1597, per aver seguito il Duca Carlo Emanuele I "e seguitato in molti viaggi, non senza spese et tavagli", professore nell'Università di Torino, tumulato nella chiesa di S.Domenico, ove si legge il suo
