Carlo Emanuele III, com diplomas reais em 14 de março de 1743, concedeu o título de cavaleiro e nobre ao médico nas duas leis Francesco Locci, a seu filho e a seus descendentes. Posteriormente, o nome de um de seus descendentes, Don Francesco, foi incluído na Lista de Nobres e cavaleiros extintos na província de Lanusei, compilado em 1822 pela R. Prefetto e enviado ao R. Secretário de Estado e Guerra, em ocasião da coroação do rei Carlo Felice. Eles estão registrados na Lista Nobre com os títulos de cavaleiro (m.), Nobre (mf.), Don (mf.). Salvatore, de Diego, de Francesco. Outro ramo. Família nobre e próspera desde o século XV, veio com os Eroli e Alberti com o título de barão dos Castelli di Camartana e Marinata. Hoje não há notícias da família.
