Antica e notabile famiglia siciliana, conosciuta come Locicero o Lo Cicero, propagatasi, nel corso dei secoli, in diverse regioni d'Italia. La casata risulta presente in Sicilia sin dal secolo decimo settimo ed infatti ricordiamo: Giacomo notaro in Palermo vivente tra il XVII e XVIII secolo; Arrigo, abate di S. Maria de Pedaly, sul calar del XVIII secolo; Francesco, dottore in Sacra Teologia, poeta, maestro e devoto direttore generale del Terzo Ordine di S. Francesco, vivente nel XIX secolo. Al dir di alcuni, la famiglia sarebbe delle medesima agnazione dei Cicero di Liguria e innalzerebbe la medesima arma ma, purtroppo, la malevola azione del tempo, distruggitore del tutto, non ci ha lasciato una documentazione per provare la discendenza.
