Oriundi del Belley, quindi in Alessandria e in Torino. Pietro Matteo, che fu direttore della Posta a Casale, ebbe per figli Pietro, che fu segretario generale delle Poste e vice intendente dell'azienda economica dell'interno (1818), Giambattista, che fu direttore elle Poste a Casale, e Francesco, che fu vescovo di Susa nel 1824, e che usò lo stemma assunto poi dalla famiglia Figlio di Pietro fu Carlo Pietro, che fu ispettore delle Poste (1823).
