A conspicuous family who came to settle from Spain to Lombardy in 1535 with the brothers Don Sancio and Don Antonio, sons of the late Don Antonio, who were with Charles V. Don Sancio was field teacher of Charles V and Philip II, then governor of Asti; Don Antonio, eminent jurisconsult, was praetor of Cremona, president of the Ordinary Magistrate and Senator of the State of Milan.
