Esta linhagem vem de um cavalheiro chamado Pedro F. de Lorca, do reino de Múrcia, que passou para Castela na época do rei Don Juan II e se estabeleceu na cidade de Madri. Quando ele morreu, ele deixou uma casa com renda para abrigar nela os filhos e filhas que haviam perdido sua fortuna. Confiou a administração da casa aos religiosos do mosteiro de San Jerónimo el Real, perto do Prado. Esta fundação consistia em várias células, com uma capela, e o anfitrião era dado para comer duas vezes por dia.
