Famiglia nobile originaria di Firenze, patrizia napolitana del Seggio di Portanova. Infeudata di Pietrastornina con il feudo rustico delle Due Torri, in Principato Ultra, dal 1635, fu decorata del titolo di Principe sulla detta terra con R. Privilegio del 17 maggio 1643, come era stata precedentemente pur decorata del titolo di Marchese di Gricignano con Regio Privilegio del 14 maggio. L'ultima intestazione di Pietrastornina con titolo di Principe e feudo rustico delle Due Torri fu del 31 marzo 1730 ad Antonio, per successione del suo genitore Tommaso che ne aveva ottenuta precedente intestazione nel Cedolario il 20 luglio 1822. Ricevuta nel Sovrano Militare Ordine di Malta il 12 maggio 1630 in persona di Marcello Lottieri di Napoli.
