Familia noble de Florencia, patricia napolitana del asiento de Portanova. Infundido por Pietrastornina con el feudo rústico de las Dos Torres, en Principato Ultra, desde 1635, fue decorado con el título de Príncipe en dicha tierra con R. Privilegio del 17 de mayo de 1643, ya que anteriormente había sido decorado aunque el título de Marqués de Gricignano con Regio Privilegio del 14 de mayo. El último encabezado de Pietrastornina con título de Príncipe y feudo rústico de las Dos Torres fue el 31 de marzo de 1730 a Antonio, por sucesión de su padre Tommaso, que había obtenido el registro previo en el Cedarario el 20 de julio de 1822. Recibido en la Soberana Orden Militar de Malta el 12 de mayo de 1630 en la persona de Marcello Lottieri de Nápoles. El campanario, "Noticias de nobleza" Nápoles 1672, en la pág. 101 dice que Marcello era un hombre
