Ancient and noble Venetian family from Castelnuovo di Vicenza spread over the centuries in various neighboring regions. The noble ancestry of this family is confirmed by Commendator G.B. di Crollalanza which reports the blazon in the volumes of his historical blazon dictionary of Italian noble families and notables. Another family branch. Known as Lozzo, Conti di Lozzo, Lozzi or Lozo was a branch of the noble Maltraversi family, which took the name of Lozzo from an ancient castle, of which it was sigora with the title of count, located in the Estense territory. The weapon of this family is unfortunately unknown in the armorials and it is believed that the weapon of the original branch called Maltraversi which we have news of since the 11th century could represent it.
