I wanted from Villabianca that this ancient and very noble family originated from an Adinolfo P. son of a sister of Desiderio king of the Lombards, lord of a castle called Tre Palli. His descendants ruled the republic of Lucca, and an Andrea P. having passed to Sicily called L.-P. in memory of his homeland. He was therefore a member of this family in Sicily, where it spread, and especially in Sciacca and Naro, and from here to Palermo. Much accepted by Count Ruggiero, the aforementioned Andrea received in return for his military services not a few fiefdoms and territories 1067. He boasts very famous subjects and for dignity and riches: a Louis Antonio rector of Sciacca under Queen Margherita, and by Emperor Federico II created great prefect of the kingdom 1239; a Nicolò of him son of the executioner of the Mazara valley and others who were war captains
