Ancient and very noble Lombard family, of clear and ancestral virtue, spread over the centuries in various regions of Italy and the world. Known as Lugano, de Lugano, from Lugano or Lugani, it moved from that city, between the 12th and 14th centuries, primarily to Piedmont.
