Antigua y noble familia de Roma. El comendador GB de Crollalanza informa del blasón de esta familia en los volúmenes de su diccionario histórico de blasones de familias nobles y notables italianas. Esta familia de escritores antiguos ciertamente se incluyó entre los recopilados en el Libro de Oro del Capitolio. De la bibliografía documentada sobre los manuscritos de la Biblioteca Vaticana, es posible detectar el número relativamente pequeño de memorias sobre familias romanas. Si se omite las fuentes sospechosas de Ceccarelli, Fanusio, Metallino cuyas fábulas fueron parcialmente aceptadas por Iacovacci; tenemos el vasto repertorio de estos últimos. Obsérvese que no existe Nobleza romana, pero se encuentra un gran volumen en el Archivo Secreto de la Santa Sede titulado: Familias adscritas al libro de oro del Campidoglio. De hecho el libro fue destruido por la revolución, pero la lista que nos dio Benedicto XIV en su constitución Urbem Roman de enero
